The solar laminate comprises three solar cells stacked on top of each other. Each of these cells is sensitive to a different spectral range to
improve energy yield. Nine thin-film layers of nanocrystalline silicon alloy are laminated together using a continuous roll-to-roll deposition process.
Advantages:
- enhanced sensitivity to blue-green light delivers higher annual yields even
under diffuse light
- bypass diodes for improved shadow tolerance
- reduced performance loss at higher temperatures
- higher annual yield than from conventional PV Systems
